Anointing of the Sick
Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint (him) with oil in the name of the Lord.
James 5:14
The Anointing of the Sick is a sacred sacrament of healing offered by the Church to bring spiritual strength, peace, and courage to those who are seriously ill, elderly, or facing surgery. Rooted in the compassionate ministry of Jesus, this sacrament includes prayers and the anointing with holy oil by a priest, asking God to provide comfort, restore health if it be His will, and offer forgiveness of sins. It is a powerful reminder that no one suffers alone—Christ is always present.
